ZAC TAYLOR 607

When Zac turned six years old in 2001, his mom and dad bought him a Honda XR50 for his birthday. His mom wasn’t too keen on this idea, but went along with it. About a week later, a friend/boss of his dad’s talked him into entering Zac into a motocross race at the motocross track in Splendora, TX. He didn’t do too well the first race because he fell, but it was the first of many races to come. He ended up winning 1st place overall in that series after winning 1st place in 6 out of 7 races.

This gave Zac The Motocross Fever. Zac continued to race and move up each year to the faster 50cc bikes, then to the 65cc bikes, and now the 85cc bikes, as he gained more and more experience.

Zac trained himself by listening to advice, watching motocross racing on TV, watching the riders at the track, and, of course, trial and error.

During this past 7 years, Zac has read, ate and breathed motocross in his every waking moment. Most every weekend has been spent either practicing or racing. If it was raining, then he was watching motocross racing on the Speed Channel.

Then in the summer of 2006, Brad Whitworth with Moto Extreme Kawasaki sponsored Zac with a new 65cc bike and around the same time, Rick Player with Player Auto Reconditioning began doing the cranks on his bikes. Zac’s dad and his dad’s best friend Ricky Player would do the top ends and maintain the bikes. In November of 2007, Brad Flynn, a representative for Fox Racing took Brad Whitworth’s advice and decided to review Zac’s resume and then take the steps to get Zac sponsored with Fox Racing. In May of 2008, JM Racing sponsored Zac by doing the suspension on his bikes and doing a mod on his 2008 85cc Kawasaki soon to be unveiled with it's uniquely custom graphic kit from That MX Life's graphic division FAST Graphics.

Zac’s goal is to work hard and practice every chance he is allowed.  Zac’s dream is to go pro by the time he is 16 or 17. Only time will tell.
